Deficit

Formed in 2002 under the name Phoenix Rising, Deficit took their music to a diffrent level. With their 1st release in 2004 titled "Phoenix Rising EP" the band was signed by Universal Management. After bad sales and very little touring. Universal dropped the band in 2006. Touring independantly for most of 2007 the band regained the force they needed to record another record. In 2008 Deficit signed a limited deal with Indegoot Intertainment and joined the touring war with Sevendust, 10 Years, Adelitas Way and Halestorm. But as all bands do; trouble struck. Losing drummer Brian Vodinh the band struggled to keep touring. Morgan Rose(Sevendust) joined Deficit for a short time while in search for the new one. During the summer of 2008 Deficit added Elias Adres to the mix. A former guitarist. Elias completed the four man group. Fall of 2008 the band returned home and jumped into recording right away. In January of 2009 Guitarist Matt Wantland decited to leave the band. As soon as he left Travis Stevens took his place just in time to record the album which was said to be titled "Introspection". On Feb 12, 2009 Introspection was released to the internet and in FYE stores across the country. The band posted in the official tour blog that 2009 will be a slower year than the band's past but they promised a large number of shows and a full attack in 2009. In june 2009 Guitarist Brandon Belsky left the band after a conflict with other members. Brian Vodinh stepped in to replace him. A new single is set for release Tuesday, June 16, 2009
